Endoscopy Services
OGD (Oesophago - Gastro - Duodenoscopy)
This procedure involves examining the upper food tract (mouth, food pipe and stomach) using a medical device called an endoscope.
This procedure is done to evaluate symptoms of persistent abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, difficulty in swallowing or heartburn.
Colonoscopy
This procedure involves examining the lower food tract (rectum and colon) using a medical device called a colonoscope.
Banding
Stenting
This procedure involves placing a small plastic or metal tube called a stent into any part of your GI tract to relieve a blockage.
PEG Tube
This procedure involves placing a feeding tube into your stomach to help you feed, take fluids and/or medication when you cannot do it through your mouth.
Polypectomy
This procedure involves removing growths from any area of your GI tract using small instruments which are inserted through the endoscope.
Gastric Balloon & Other Obesity Reductions Techniques
This procedure involves inserting a plastic balloon into your stomach through the endoscope (non- surgical).
This balloon is filled with water and remains in your stomach for 3 – 6 months. While in your stomach, the balloon will keep you feeling full and thus eat less.
